[Best Editor] ViM 7.3

@ViM 7.3 I am very impressed! 

I didn't think that the minor version update would have these powerful improvements:
  1. Persistent Undo (The ability to close vim, open it and it remembers the previous changes to your files!)
    1. set undofile
    2. set undodir=~/.vim/undo
  2. Arbitrary Columns (I'm not necessarily a fan of this).
    1. set colorcolumn=80,120
  3. Relative line numbers (this either)
    1. :set rnu
  4. Conceal Text
    1. If you write up syntax files this is helpful, otherwise, it is just a cool feature.
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 on both 64-bit and 32-bit hardware, it doesn't appear that the 7.3 version is in the packages. But no worries, it can simply be installed by removing the present installation of vim or vi completely and installing from source. The source can be obtained over http download from the vim.org website.
